Scope

Freedom Group is committed to managing Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSE&Q) matters as an integral part of our business. In particular, it is our policy to assure the HSE&Q integrity of our processes and facilities at all times and at all places. We will do so by adhering to the following principles:

Compliance

We will comply with all applicable laws and regulations and will implement programs and procedures to assure compliance. Strict compliance with HSE&Q will be a key ingredient in the communication, consultation, training, performance reviews and incentives of all workers.

Where existing laws and regulations are not adequate to assure protection of human health, safety and the environment, we will establish and meet our own HSE&Q standards.

Prevention

We will employ management systems and procedures specifically designed to prevent activities and/or conditions that pose a threat to human health, safety or the environment. We will minimise risk and protect workers and the communities in which we operate by employing safe technologies and operating procedures, as well as being prepared for emergencies.

We will strive to prevent releases to the atmosphere, land or water. We will minimise the amount and toxicity of waste generated and will ensure the safe treatment and disposal of waste.

We will establish and maintain procedures that set our measurable WHS targets and objectives.

Communication

We will communicate our commitment to WHS to all workers, vendors and customers. We will solicit their input in meeting our WHS goals and in turn will offer assistance to meet their goals.

Continual improvement

We will continually seek opportunities to improve our adherence to these principles and will periodically report progress to our stakeholders.

This policy will be annually reviewed and revised to reflect changing conditions and information.

The Australian Swimming Pool and Spa Association, is our governing body which assists us with Government Legislation, and is a third party to assist our customers. All Freedom Pools customers are also fully covered for pool completion insurance. Rest assured knowing you are in safe hands dealing with a National Swimming Pool Association Member

Our quality management system is certified to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008. This means that our procedures and processes are reviewed on a regular basis and our focus is on customer satisfaction and continual improvement.

As a member of the HIA, (Housing Industry Association), we are familiar with all codes and regulations concerning installing pools into private homes. We are compliant from the ground up, and will always install your pool in a safe and environmentally considerate manner.

Freedom Pools was the first fibreglass company in Australia to be Environmentally Certified to AS/ISO14001. We are always striving to deliver ever more energy efficient, and reduced waste solutions for pool manufacture.

We are a Member of Family Business Australia, and have been for some time. Freedom Pools is the longest established fibreglass pool company in Australia, that is still operating under the same family ownership for over 50 years.

Australian Standard AS/NZS 4801 is for safety management in the workplace. This ensures all staff are adhering to correct procedures, and resulting in delivering and installing your pool in the safest way possible.
